A little catching up ...

I haven't kept up on my blog as well as I should be, life just gets busy. Sadie is in 1st grade and is liking school. I am amazed at the things she is expected to learn in 1st grade. She comes home with some pretty hard spelling words. I have a hard time even knowing how to help her with them, one of her words last week was "whet". How in the world is she supposed to know about the silent "h"? My mom even looked up the word to see if it was real, because neither of us had heard of it. This week has "wash" in it, so because of last weeks words Sadie wants to spell it "whash". It's so hard! Alot of her bestest friends that were in her class in kindergarten aren't in her class this year. But she has come home and has a couple of new bestest friends. Plus she gets to see her other friends at break. She is adapting well.

Last week we went to the fruit stand with Grandma Diane and bought some pumpkins. Sadie invited one of her friends over and painted the small ones, we will carve the others closer to Halloween. Sadie is going to be a witch this year (a cute one, not to scary). I thought for sure she was going to be Hannah Montana, but nope, she wants to be a witch. Grandma Diane is sewing her a costume. Sadie is so very lucky to have such a crafty grandma who will do these things for her.

Sadie and I got to go to Oktoberfest up at Snowbird at the end of September. We went with a guy I have been dating, Jon, and his friend Haley. We had alot of fun. We got to ride on the Tram and go on the Slide. Sadie got to "mine" for special rocks.
